Schedule a Tour

Barbara Jordan Career Cener is the only career center in Houston ISD.  Students at Furr, Heights, Houston, Kashmere, North Forest, Northside, Washington, Wheatley, and Yates are eligible to take career classes at BJCC either in the morning or the afternoon.  Students take their academic classes at their home school and stay involved in all activities there.  Transportation to the career center is provided.  We offer classes in the following career pathways:  Architecture, Automotive Technology, Child Development, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Electrical Technology, Government/Diplomacy, Health Science, Marketing, and Welding.  Students can let us know they are interested by clicking on the "Apply to BJCC" link on the home page and then clicking on "Sign Up Now."
